2011 Iron Turkey Chef Competition
Granny's was proud to support the Annual Turkey Iron Chef competition at Red River College held on December 9, 2011. Eight culinary students participated in the event. Each student had to create an original appetizer and entree featuring turkey as the main ingredient. The winners were selected by Doug Speirs from the Winnipeg Free Press, Jason Wortzman from Granny's Poultry, and Krista Pratt from the Manitoba Turkey Producers.
Congratulations to Aaron Christie for winning first place in the competition. Aaron won with his roast turkey stuffed with figs and basted with sage butter.
