HACCP-Certified Operations
In Canada and around the world, the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system has become synonymous with food safety. The HACCP is a systematic and pro-active approach that addresses biological, chemical and physical hazards by anticipating and preventing issues before they occur rather than relying on a finished product inspection.
The federal Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has certified that Granny’s Poultry successfully meets all of the criteria outlined for HACCP certification. For example, our HACCP-certified processing facility in Blumenort complies with federally-outlined quality control guidelines by constantly monitoring bird temperatures and bacteria levels to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained.
