As a member of the Canadian food industry and Manitoba's largest poultry producer, Granny’s is proud to provide farm fresh, locally-produced, nutritionally-balanced food choices for you and your family.
Jason Wortzman is a professionally trained chef with experience in international culinary centres including London, New Delhi and Quebec.
For many years, Jason ran his own catering and specialty food businesses. He has taught cooking classes focusing on regional ingredients, and has given many informative food and wine seminars. He also has been the head chef at an award-winning, prestigious Winnipeg restaurant.
He is an avid home cook who enjoys working with Granny’s healthy and delicious turkey and chicken. Jason is a strong believer in diversity and seasonality in cooking: in the summer, he loves to barbeque Tandoori Chicken using Granny’s chicken breasts or legs. In the winter, it’s hearty and homey Chicken Cacciatore, braised to fork-tenderness on the stovetop.
Jason is a graduate of the Culinary Arts Program at Winnipeg’s Red River Community College and has apprenticed in a Michelin-starred restaurant in Burgundy, France.
