Darren is a third-generation owner of a turkey breeding farm that his family started operating in the 1950s. Five years ago, he partnered in the business with his dad and uncle, who have been Granny’s co-op members for nearly 30 years.
Working in a family-oriented environment appeals to this married father of three young children, as does living an active lifestyle in Riverton, Manitoba.
Darren is involved in his community, having served as the Board president of the area minor hockey association and as head of maintenance on the Board of a local bible camp.
He looks forward to spending time outdoors camping, playing water sports or relaxing at the race track, and says nothing finishes off a perfect summer day like a Granny’s marinated turkey breast on the barbecue.
