As a member of the Canadian food industry and Manitoba's largest poultry producer, Granny’s is proud to provide farm fresh, locally-produced, nutritionally-balanced food choices for you and your family.
Ken has been a member of the cooperative since 1981, the second generation of his family to be part of Granny’s co-op and the third to be involved in farming near Grunthal, Manitoba. His rural upbringing helped ensure he would someday make his living off the land, and he continues to enjoy the independence and the good country living that comes with the profession.
Ken has also been an active member of the board for 16 years; he enjoys meeting and working with people in the industry from across the country.
One of his favourite activities off work is giving back to the community; he served as Chair and Vice-Chair of his local Senior Citizens Board for 15 years and is proud to be involved in serving meals and raising funds for the community at the annual World Famous Grunthal Chicken BBQ.
He and his wife Marilyn are globetrotters who love travelling. Their latest adventure took them to Italy, and in the future they plan to visit Greece and Africa.
At home, Ken enjoys grilling Granny’s quarter-cut chicken sprinkled with the Manitoba Chicken Producers’ special seasoning blend.
