Feta Stuffed Greek Burgers
Delicious feta cheese with lean ground turkey. So easy, simple and super healthy!
Ingredients
| 1.25 lb |
ground turkey Granny's Lean Ground Turkey Thighs |
| 1/4 cup | breadcrumbs |
| 1 tsp | dried oregano |
| 1 | egg |
| 8 oz | feta cheese |
| 1/2 cup | kalamata olives, pitted and chopped |
| 1 tbsp | lemon juice |
| 1 tsp | lemon zest |
| to taste | salt and pepper |
Directions
In a large bow, combine turkey, bread crumbs, olives, lemon zest, lemon juice, egg, salt and pepper. Mix well. Shape the turkey mixture into four equal sized balls. Insert thumb into centre of each meatball to create a pocket. Put two ounces of feta in the center of each meatball and close meat around cheese. Shape into four burgers. Grill burgers 5-7 minutes each side, over medium heat, or until the internal temperature reaches 175°F (80°C). Serve with Greek pita, tzatziki sauce, tomatoes and cucumbers.
