Slow Cooked Moroccan Style Ginseng Fed Chicken
This recipe takes a few minutes to prepare in the morning, uses a frozen whole bird and a few other simple ingredients. Place everything in your slow cooker and the result is a delicious and nutritious meal that is hot and ready to serve for dinner!
Ingredients

Granny’s Ginseng Fed Chicken, frozen Ginseng Fed Whole Chicken |
| 1 can | diced tomatoes (796 ml) |
| 1 can | chick peas (540 ml) |
| 1/2 cup | onion, diced |
| 3 cloves | garlic, diced |
| 1 medium | red pepper, diced |
| 2 tsp | mild paprika |
| 2 tsp | ground cumin |
| 1 tsp | dried oregano |
| 1 tsp | ground coriander |
| 1/2 tsp | cinnamon |
| 1 tsp | dried chilies (optional) |
| 2 tsp | sea salt |
| 1/4 tsp | freshly ground black pepper |
| Couscous or rice |
Directions
Drain tomatoes then place in slow cooker. Drain and rinse chick peas then add to slow cooker. Add onion, garlic, and red pepper to slow cooker and mix.
Mix all remaining dried spices and seasoning in a bowl. Add half of spice mixture to tomato mixture and stir.
Remove the wrapping from the frozen Ginseng Fed Chicken. Place whole frozen Ginseng Fed Chicken on top of tomato mixture and then sprinkle remaining spice mixture over bird.
Place lid on slow cooker then cook on high setting for 5 hours. Cooker should then switch to warm.
When ready to serve place whole chicken on a platter, skim fat from remaining sauce, stir and serve with the chicken.
Serve with couscous or rice on the side.
