Turkey Chilli Nachos
Lean ground turkey thighs mixed with onions, tomatoes, red, green peppers, and jalapenos. Mexican nachos, spicy and delicious!
Ingredients
| 1 lb |
ground turkey Granny's Lean Ground Turkey Thighs |
| 1 tbsp | oil |
| 1 | medium onion, chopped |
| 1 | clove garlic, minced |
| 1 tsp | dried oregano |
| 1/2 tsp | chilli powder |
| 1/2 tsp | cumin |
| N/A | salt and pepper to taste |
| 1 cup | cooked black beans |
| 7.5 oz | can tomato sauce |
| 11 3/8 oz | pkg. white corn tortilla chips |
| 1 - 2 | red sweet pepper, diced |
| 1 - 2 | green sweet pepper, diced |
| 1 to 2 | jalapeño peppers |
| 1/2 cup | black olives, optional |
| 2 cup | shredded Monterey Jack cheese |
| N/A | guacamole, sour cream |
Directions
In large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Stir in turkey, breaking up with spoon; cook until no longer pink. Stir in onion, garlic, oregano, chilli powder and cumin; cook until onion is soft. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in black beans and tomato sauce; simmer until heated through.
Place corn tortillas onto large baking sheet, spoon turkey chilli over top. Sprinkle with peppers and olives, if desired. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 425°F (220°C) about 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with guacamole and sour cream.
