Turkey Spaghetti Sauce
Lean ground turkey thighs in this delicious spaghetti sauce.
Ingredients
| 1 lb |
Granny's ground turkey Granny's Lean Ground Turkey Thighs |
| 1 | can (19 oz/ 54 mL) tomatoes, chopped |
| 1 | can (5 1/2 oz, 156 mL) tomato paste |
| 1 tsp | each: dried oregano and basil |
| 1 | medium carrot, chopped |
| 1 | medium onion, chopped |
| 2 | stalks celery, chopped |
| 1 Tbsp | vegetable oil |
| 1/2 cup | water |
| 1/2 tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
Directions
In a large saucepan, heat oil and sauté turkey, onion and garlic until onion is soft and turkey is no longer pink. Do not overcook turkey.
Add remaining ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with pasta if desired.
