White Turkey Chilli
Only 281 calories per serving, try this great turkey chili recipe. Excellent source of protein, 23g!
Ingredients
| 1 lb |
ground turkey Granny's Lean Ground Turkey Breast |
| 1 | can (540 mL/19 oz) white kidney beans drained and rinsed |
| 1/4 tsp | cayenne pepper |
| 2 tsp | chilli powder |
| 2 | cloves garlic, minced |
| 1 tsp | dried oregano |
| 1 - 2 | each: green and red pepper, chopped |
| 2 tbsp | fresh parsley, chopped |
| 1/2 cup | low-fat sour cream |
| 1 | medium onion, chopped |
| 1/2 cup | shredded mozzarella cheese |
| 3/4 cup | turkey or chicken broth |
| 1 tbsp | vegetable oil |
Directions
Heat oil in a large non-stick fry pan or saucepan. Add turkey, onion and garlic. Cook, stirring constantly until turkey is no longer pink. Add dry seasonings and mix well. Add green and red pepper and broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add beans, cheese, sour cream and parsley. Heat through, stirring to combine. Serve immediately.
